Technical Sales Engineer

FULL-TIME PERMANENT (Monday – Friday)

This is an office based role to be the first point of contact in the business for all sales enquiries based at our offices in Burton upon Trent.  

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge along with sales experience to provide our customers with advice and support on a range of products such as gaskets, rubber mouldings, hoses and extrusions, for which a certain level of expertise is required.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing quotations and entering orders onto our in-house database.

The candidate will deal with customers from a diverse range of sectors including food and beverage, automotive, transportation and general manufacturing, offering pre-and post-sales support.

You will also be responsible for identifying and establishing new business and working towards sales targets.

Qualifications and Experience

There are no specific qualifications needed for the post but excellent written and spoken English is a requirement, along with specific knowledge of the technical aspects of gaskets, rubber mouldings, and hoses.

The candidate will ideally have experience working in the rubber industry or general engineering with an in-depth knowledge of the above areas.

Preferred Skills

You must be able to develop good working relationships with existing and new customers alike, which includes having excellent communication skills.
You will need to be well organised as you will be working in a fast-paced office environment.
Problem-solving is an essential skill as there will be times when customers require our technical expertise on developing projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft office is a requirement but full training will be given on our in-house database.

Salary expectations based on experience and can be discussed at interview stage.
